Nice Place For a Special Date. The service here was excellent and very detailed. The food here is good. While it is higher in price, it certainly is a nice place for a special occasion.

Quality-Adjusted, Way Overpriced.. The appetizers (mussels in tomato sauce, brochette + mozzarella) were mediocre, salads (Caesar) and entrees (grilled halibut, seafood ravioli) were adequate, and desserts (something chocolate with Cool Whip(!), tiramisu cake) were mediocre-minus. At the price of $105 (for 2 people), this was the most seriously overpriced meal I've had in many, many years.

Best Italian Food I've Ever Had. Don't be fooled by the minimalist exterior or the location -- Paul's is by far the best Italian restaurant in the Triad and has possibly the finest Italian food that I've ever tasted (and I've travelled at length through Italy). The original sauces at Paul's are absolutely phenomenal, making even seemingly simple pasta dishes explode with flavor. Try the Capellini Papalini or Puttanesca: to die for. The veal selections are also beyond compare, and I could go on and on. Excellent restaurant, attentive service, truly fine atmosphere, and a hint of romance.
