When I get a hankering for good barbecue, this is where I head. It can be crowded, the decor won't win any awards, they only take cash... but they make some great barbecue. An order of hush puppies gives you a generous portion. The wait staff never seems to get flustered, no matter how busy they are, but are uniformly nice and helpful.

THE BEST BBQ. I'm a native from this area, and this is the gold standard for barbecue. No need to drive to Lexington. Friendly folks, awesome flavor, weekend specials, great prices & menu selections!

best bbque hands down. Suculant bbque. try the course chopped plate. They are fast and friendly. I only come into town about every 5-6 years and look foward to eating here when I do. I live in AZ now and wish that there was food like this here. Just can't get any better. I love bar-b que and try it everywhere I go. Nowhere can compee in my eyes.

bring cash!. Little Richard's looks run down on the outside. Little Richard's looks run down on the inside. maybe not run-down, per se, but lived in. This jewel is tucked away on Country Club road, but has some of the best barbecue in North Carolina.

Try the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw (this is not traditional mayo coleslaw, but a vinegar based slaw) to top your sandwich. Get some crinkle fries (the king of the french fries) and a Coke to round out the meal. You wont have spent more than a few dollars, but you will be in heaven.

The dining room is small, so remember to be patient: your time will come. Also, don't forget to bring cash because the do not accept credit cards. NO VISA, NO MASTERCARD, NO AMERICAN EXPRESS.

Take out or eat in. Great place for either. The atmosphere helps make the place, and the food is some of the best NC BBQ has to offer.

Great place for take-out.. This place has been here for as long as I can remember and nothing has changed. As far as the food goes, that's a good thing... as far as atmosphere goes, it's time for an upgrade. Small, unsturdy tables manned by frazzled waitresses are always full and the wait is generally a long, hot one. Until they finally bother to invest the funds to increase dining capacity and staffing (and upgrade to modern seating), your best bet is to order your food to go. Buy a bottle of their BBQ sause while you're there. It's fantastic!

The Best. This is the best bbq I have ever had, I only wish I lived closer to eat it more often! I live in FL, but everytime I visit Winston I go here. Their food is simply superb. Fast bbq at great prices. If you go, you must try their cole slaw, it is very tasty and unique!
