The biggest surprise in Winston Salem. Francesco's not Franco's ! Don't go by past reveiws this is not Franco's but Francesco's the BEST Italian food I've had in a long time. I'm not just talking the run of the mill I mean true Italian. Specials every night, the veal is out of this world. Do try this one and i'm sure it will be on your favorites list.

R E A L Italian Food. This Place has a new Owner for the past 3 years, that it really made a difference.

The Restaurant is now called FRANCESCO'S ON JONESTOWN ROAD

Carmine the Owner, is a native of Napoli in Italy, and he has made the restaurant very cozy, and the food is real ITALIAN food from Italy not Italian from NY.

My favorite is the Veal Santimbocca over Angel Hair. Veal Prosciutto Mozzarela and Fresh Spinach! Who needs anything else.

The pizzas are also excellent, and he will be glad and proud to make you an individual pizza like in Napoli if he is around and you special order it.

Great pasta dishes. We were visiting from out of town (Raleigh) and wanted a good Italian restaurant--We found it!!! This place has the best Gnocchi's in NC!!! The meat sauce was sooo good and the fresh bread was amazing. The service was great--waitress was very friendly and the food came out quick!!! The portion sizes were huge, we were sad we could not take our left overs with us (our hotel did not have refrigerators in the rooms)

MMM Good.... Franco's is an excellent Italian restaurant. As others have said, the buffalo mozzarella is an incredible appetizer. That and the calamari are my favorites. They're homemade Primavera sauce is excellent as well, over your choice of pasta. Don't forget about the daily lunch buffett, featuring a salad bar, pizza, stromboli, pastas and sauces. Overall Franco's is a fantastic eating establishment.

ok for pizza and subs but not worth it for the veal. Just like another pizza and sub place. food ok, good fresh baked bread. We got veal and it was not worth it.

The Best Italian in Winston-Salem. Franco's is by far the best italian food in Winston-Salem, if not North Carolina altogether. The buffalo mozzarella appetizer as well as the fried calamari are excellent! The homemade italian salad dressing is a must. The sauce is fresh and flavorful as well as the other ingredients. Entrees are great and definitely worth the reasonable prices. I suggest the veal marsala or sorrento. The wine list is the only thing that is somewhat limited.

Authentic Italian. The food here is absolutely wonderful. The buffalo mozzarella in the pink sauce is an excellent appetizer, and all of the entrees are great.
