Best Burgers, Shakes , Customer Service & Atmosphere You will Find!!. This is not your typical burger joint- Please don't mistake them for one. The food is excellent!! The restaurant is very clean, the service is very friendly - something you don't see alot any more. The amount of food you get for the price is amazing. And the food is very, very good- everything. We tried a variety of items on the menu from burgers to chicken to salad to chili and of course the shakes - everything was exceptional. We live in Pennsylvania and make numerous trips to North Carolina throughout the year - I can assure we will be stopping at Steak 'n Shake every trip we make- even if I have to drive out of my way to get there. - Yes people - it is that good. So if you are in the Winston-Salem area (or even have to go out of your way) stop by the Steak 'n Shake, you will not be disappointed.
