BEST SHOP IN ARTS DISTRICT!!. Was recently in town for business and in between meetings decided to stroll the Arts District ( I think that's what it is called.) Spied the amusing logo on the window and headed for the door where I was greeted by this mature gentlemen who chivalrously ushered me in. The first thing I noticed about the place was it's intelligent and inviting design; Lots of great colors, clear paths to walk (without stepping over things), and great views of the stunning merchandise. Dana, the owner, is exceptional. How she manages to be attentive, personable, humorous, yet never hovering is brilliant. The beauty wall draws you right to it; Extraordinary soaps and creams reside there. I've been to over 20 shops all over the country with African art, yet there were some remarkable items there. Ended up purchasing more than I expected and it being the highlight of my visit to Winston-Salem. Dana, the goods & the experience made the investment in these cherishable items spectacular. By the way, discovered the gentlemen is the owner's Dad. Of course!
