This is the best restaurant for a night out!. I have been here twice now and we had Sam for our waiter,and you talk about service he is the best.I have told my friends about the restaurant and we had our two friends b-day there Sat the 15th and then headed to Tanglewood for the light show. The food was so good my girlfriend ordered the crab dip to go for her family. The portion you recieve was more than enough we all took half home. I had the salmon and it was perfect,my girlfriend had primerib she said it was wonderful. The desserts you can"t even imagine Sam brought it out and had written happy b-day in strawberry syrup that was so cute.So if you want to do something fun for the holiday go there for a girl night out meet Sam in the bar and then go to the lights you"ll have lots of fun.

not go back. the female waitresses are only nice to tables with males and children. always rude to female only tables.the waitresses put crumbs off the table onto the floor. and not clean it up. female waitresses will not volunteer t wait on female tables. a list of things that waitress will not do to females: not want to write down order,bring food,drink and bill. check to see if females need anything more after food is brought to table. female customers have to ask them to do it. sometimes the females get out of the chair.have to ask the waitress to come back to the table. waitresses not want to write down order.they say it is not a job requirement. waitresses run away from female at tables,not come back. management sees it.not do anything about it,

Great place, great value!. Cities is one of my favorite places to go for the normal American type meal, their chicken and pasta is good, drink specials are great, they have a pretty good wine selection. Their food is not always seasoned as much ad I'd prefer, but otherwise it is great. The service is always good, the host is always friendly, there is normally no wait for a seat. A good place for going with a group!

Cities Grill & Bar: A Taste of Quality, with a bone!. Best chicken salad I have ever had! Though I have had several menu items and have always been satisfied with the food, service and value, till yesterday. Enjoyed my 3rd or 4th visit for a chicken salad sandwhich. Almost through, and I bit into a fairly large piece of chicken bone. Accidents happen, and I simply pointed it out to the waitress without any expectations. I even ordered a chicken salad plate to go afterwards. She returned with the bill for the full amount. I expressed my surprise, at the full total. Said she had explained to the manger who then came over to offer a lame explanation. Till this point I was fine, but then her lack of good business sense, prompted a less civil approach. Before leaving she took off the one of my orders. Too late. I shouldn't have to ask. I will return here, the food is that good. Glad I did not have a customer or co-worker with me. Good customers are hard to find and even harder to keep, even when everything is good. People can make or break it! It did in this situation.

Great place to visit for any purpose. Cities has a remarkable atmosphere. Its a great place for just about any occasion. The menu has a good range of variety. Every dish I've ordered has been GREAT! The service has always been good. Everyone I've taken there for their first visit raves about it and have turned out to be repeat customers. GREAT place for a date, girls night out, busniess lunch or dinner and for family dining (altough loud children my distrub the quaint atmosphere), Wish there were more places like this in the Winston-Salem/Kernersville area.

great for a first date. If you're looking for a dressy casual restaurant (think pearls and polos with nice jeans or khakis), Cities is a great place to go. The service has always been very attentive, the portions are great, and the food is delicious.

Look at the pizza for a little less traditional view on a classic (and maybe share with your date so you both have garlic breath!) or go for steak if you're a meat-lover.

The ambiance is unique (try to sit in the sunken dining room): not fancy, but fresh. The worldly feel is taken maybe a little too far, but in W-S, it is nice to know that SOMEONE is trying.

Beautiful dining.. The ambience is magnificent. A sunken dining room has a fountain that sits in front a large screen projecting views of various cities around the world, a fiber-optics ceiling that gives the impression of a starlit sky above you, and elegant, comfortable seating. For smokers, the seating around the bar is no less impressive. A large mural covers the walls behind large, raised booths, giving an upbeat mood to the room. And the food is wonderful. From appetizers to desserts, the taste and value are remarkable. Speaking of desserts, the Cities Sundae doesn't make the dessert tray for showing, but it's possibly the best dessert.

Entree Recommendation: Bayside Chicken & Shrimp.

in winston-salem????!!. its been a couple of years since i've been to this place with the then significant other, but it has definatley made quite and impression on me. i remember when it first opened, very quietly. was recommended by a co-worker. when we got there, i was floored! the ambiance and decor was absolutley fabulous- very art deco! the suken dining room is my favorite choice seating. the bartenders were knowledgable and the food was excellent for the price! i'm from a major met. city that's known for posh dining and such, but this place is definatley one of winston salem's hidden treasures.

The Greeks are bearing gifts. The first thing you will notice about Cities is the ambience. There is fountain outside. There is a changing video mural covering one wall in the sunken lounge. The Greek salad is good as is the spanokopita. Try the wood fired pizza. The Mrs. and I shared the three of them family style. There is a patio which we have enjoyed at a different seating.
