great heirloom tomatoes.
I bought the best heirloom tomato plants at Griffith's last spring. As a novice gardner, I wasn't very confident but Griffith's staff was so helpful and encouraged me to pick out a nice variety. By far the best were the Mortgage Breaker tomatoes. I feed my family, all my neighbors and even had enough for two great batches of salsa! They were the most delicious tomatoes we had ever eaten. The size, taste, and amount produced were phenomenal. As someone new to the area what a great way to meet neighbors and make friends by sharing my garden's bounty! Lily, the Great Dane, was an added treat. What a sweetheart!
A great nursery!

Best Family Garden Center.
Your whole family will enjoy shopping at Griffith Greenhouses! The greenhouses are right next to their house so it is like going over to your neighbors to shop. They have this huge Great Dane named Lily and a Great Mutt named Daisy that greet you with a sniff when you pull in. I left my children to play basketball in the driveway and my husband sat under the shade trees petting the dogs while I wandered through 4 greenhouses picking out all sorts of flowering plants for my containers and some herbs too. They will even help you design your containers - I brought mine with me so I knew exactly how many plants I needed. Since they grow most of their plants on site, they have so much to choose from all the time! I felt like they didn't just want to sell plants to me, they wanted me to enjoy and be successful with my containers.
After I finished shopping, I took the kids over to the jungle gym while hubbie picked out some vegetables for his garden. He is determined to have the earliest tomatoes in the neighborhood and he got some Ealry Pick tomatoes in 1 gallon pots that will be blooming in April! They have this wonderful man, Henry, that is great at helping you pick out tomatoes.
